More Videos In Development

Yep it’s been a little while. But I do have good reason for that. At the moment I’m doing the next Somerset High School Football highlight DVD, and I also have been trying to save up my most recent footage from my recent sessions with Authority Stunts.
As of now I have been working hard on trying to find an airport hangar to use during a few days in the Winter Season to film Authority Stunts to create a whole slew of tutorial videos. Looking through a lot of the YouTube videos, not many go any further than a straight, standing wheelie. I think it’s time we get into detail step-by-step and show the public just what a person would need and the proper way to go about doing these sorts of stunts.
Aside from that everything has been going crazy at Kuryakyn. Next week on the 26th I have to shoot Willie G. on his blacked-out Street Glide, as well as a Dodge Viper GTS for our upcoming Black Product Line we just came out with. This is going to be amazing!! I’ll try to hook you all up with some behind the scenes footage if I can.
That’s about it for now. REMEMBER: Subscribe and receive spam free updates, or you can find me on TwitterFacebook – or YouTube

OOPS!! Ok so I MIGHT have forgotten about making some posts… but hey look now I’m back and talking to you! See? I still care about you!

So to bring you up to speed I’ve been working with a group of streetbike stunting riders named Authority Stunts. I made a post on a local riding forum looking for talent and they certainly delivered! The latest post is from a charity drive they did at the St. Paul Indian Cycles shop.

If you know of a free area or know someone that has a spot that’s flat and paved feel free to give me a holler either here or on facebook and we can get something going.

Ascension Visuals and Authority Stunts – Video Trailer

July 17, 2011 Leave a comment

Sorry it’s been a little while. But I haven’t not posted because I was taking a break. In actuality I’ve been planning and getting things straightened out with a video project.

I have no idea on the title but it’s featuring Authority Stunts based out of the Minnesota area. Plus outside riders that love to stunt as well. Here’s just something I whipped together of the first shoot. Location: I’m not allowed to disclose. It’s sad there’s no place for these guys to practice other than abandoned lots =/

Anywho, here’s part of the project I’m working on. Enjoy! Feel free to click “Subscribe” on the right and you’ll receive updates from this site, spam free!

My Old Place in White Bear, MN

Howdy Everyone! Ok so here’s a video that gives you insight into my life a little, before I even moved to Wisconsin. Just figured it’d be nice to show you what things were like before I got here. Certainly wasn’t a great life for a child even though it kind of looked like it. Most of that is to blame on the school, though. It was completely overcrowded and the state wasn’t going to let the school soak up any more money since it was already a lost cause. Plus, that was the time where Ritalen was used for any child that even showed a minor jump in activity levels. So anyways, here’s a little look into the past.

This was almost in the middle of no where and I see some guy in his karate outfit, thong sandals, and a red belt on him… I don’t quite understand any of that since he was walking away from a main highway. So ummm… yeah… more video(s) next week!

SHS Football 2011 Trailer

March 30, 2011 Leave a comment

As I said I’ve been pretty busy lately with all of my projects going on, but, I’ve been working on the football DVD as one of those projects and I figured I’d give anyone interested a little sneak peak at what to expect.

This is of the Somerset Spartan Football Team; my alma mater of High School and Jr. High. Once we switched gears and began our BFS program coupled with an integration of teaching about goals, values, conduct, and how to achieve a higher level of living, this school has been turning heads from various parts of the country every year: College recruiters of all kinds, the Army, the community of Somerset, news papers, television stations, the list goes on.

Every student is required to fulfill over 15 hours of community service in order for them to graduate. That I know of, no one else around this entire area is doing that.

Overview of New Mexico

Howdy!

Hopefully this post comes in on time but I’ve been swamped with helping build the updated version of the Kuryakyn website, plus, trying to get everything all organized so I can start working on the Football DVD. But even with all of that going on I’ve still been able to put together a video. It’s pretty simple, but as a short overview: this is a short vid of the shoot in New Mexico with some of the shots that I liked the most. This was all shot and edited by me, which I’m very proud of being able to do. It gives me all the control I want so that I can get exactly what I imagined. Some of these shots won’t be used in any Kuryakyn videos since they’re either a bit too “artsy” or don’t relate to anything being featured. That’s just how things work in video, though.

As a heads up: I have a “vlog” style video after this one to show. It’s one of my first ones so be gentle on me.

Additionally: I recently bought a 2004 Suzuki SV650 (no “S”), so I’ll be sure to put in some videos while riding on my new bike. But of course it’s snowing like mad, still, so I might just be posting up some sort of lame-ass video that includes snow… and maybe an older gentleman that fakes a fall into snow.

Anyways, stay tuned for more videos and “vlog” posts!

New Mexico: Kuryakyn Photo Shoot

February 21, 2011 Leave a comment

Alright! Where to begin; So I went to Albuquerque, New Mexico for about 3 or 4 days. We’re turning a new page at work and starting to find our new demographic(s), if not push the ones we already advertise to, and begin our new race to beat the bad economy and show that determination and brains is the way to do things when times get tough!

Within that time our photographer was able to get 9,000 incredible photos (HDR technique included… but “ya know”). From metric bikes to Gold Wings to Harley Davidsons, we have some of the most incredible shots you’ll ever see.

Where’s my part in all of this? I was tasked to do the filming for behind the scenes and show what everything looks like behind the lens and still keep Kuryakyn product as the main focus. Personally I think I did a successful job of it. We had both Anna and Michelle as our models to help give our product a bit more style and class plus add a little more excitement to the photos. One thing is for sure: I have much more respect for what they do. None of the poses they got into looked natural, but they look incredible on film! So they obviously know what they’re doing.

This video in particular…

… was for a good sized meeting to help really show what Kuryakyn is and give a nice little teaser into what we can expect in later videos. This year is going to have some of the most incredible videos in the motorcycle industry!

The Shoot:

Wow was it ever cold! I mean yes it was November but no one expected it to be that cold even for a state so far down south (west)! Turns out neither did any of the… New Mexicans… Mexicanite-ers?… ? For just that length of time it was one of the colder weeks they’ve had in a long time. It was about 40 degrees each day, but that was mid-day. In order to get awesome light great shots, most of ones shooting is done in the morning and afternoon while the sun is setting and rising.

All I have to say about that… it was SO worth it! Jim Gallop is a genius and we are in his debt for sure.

Credit where credit is due:

Jim Gallop, Nick and Nick, Don K, Damaris K, Michelle Smith, Anna R, Undria, Marc, Desimone on the Rocket, WILL J (big up to him for sure!), Ron, Rob & Amelia,  Owen, Todd, all the dealers who helped us out with bikes and thank you to everyone else (it’s a long list for sure!)! These new videos are going to rock!
